On november 8th Andre Monteiro will compete at the Atama Open Tournament in Houston.

Nationals 2008

This past month was the 2008 American National Gi and No Gi Jiu-Jitsu Competition. Andre and 3 of his students competed. Andre won the silver medal in the black belt male absolute gi division. Congratulations to Shane Brooks for winning gold in his division, Liana Thompson winning a bronze medal in her division, and to Daniel Duron. Also, congratulations are due to Andre’s colleague, Marcello Salazar, for taking home a gold medal in the black belt male no gi absolute division.
